Subject: Flooding and Storm Damage – Information needed please
Dear John, Malcolm and Sean,
I am writing to ask for your help if you know of any club that has suffered flood or storm damage Sport England has announced a special £5 million flood relief fund to help recover pitches and repair sports facilities damaged by the recent floods and storms.
The main fund opens on 24 March and there is an opportunity for emergency funds where applicable. For further information on this fund can be found by clicking here.
As County Secretary and County Development Coordinators you may know of clubs that may be affected and if you aware of any please could you let me know by return email as soon as possible.
We will be working closely with Sport England to help support clubs that may be eligible for this funding.
(Please note that there are other funding opportunities open as well – including Small Grants (up to £10,000 for equipment, coaching courses, facility hire); Protecting Playing Fields; Inspired Facilities (opens in March 2014).
